Privacy Policy for Blocks

Protecting your data matters to me. This policy describes which data Blocks processes.

Data processed

No tracking, no ads

Blocks contains no tracking, no advertising and no analytics services and needs no user account. I receive no data about you or how you use the app.

Storage in your browser

Blocks stores your progress in your browser's local storage. This data does not leave your device and is not used for tracking. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Server log files

When you open Blocks, the web server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested address, browser identifier). This is required to deliver and secure the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after 14 days.

Leaderboard

If you enter a name, Blocks sends this name, your best scores (per mode and for the current week) and a randomly generated player ID to the server. The ID is created once in your browser and only serves to match your entry; it is not linked to you as a person. Entries (name and score) are visible to everyone on the leaderboard, so don't choose a name that identifies you. To prevent abuse, the number of submissions per IP address is limited. Without a name, no scores are sent.

On request I will delete your entry; use the support form and mention your name.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact me at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at). The GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) apply.

Changes

This privacy policy is updated when the app or the legal situation changes.
