Frequently asked questions
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. World of Warcraft add-ons cannot send data to the internet, and Familiar Faces does not share notes with other players. Everything is stored locally in the game's saved variables (WTF folder) on your computer.
Can I use my notes in Classic and Retail?
No. WoW keeps the data of each game flavour separately, so Retail and Classic each have their own notebook. The same applies to different computers.
Can I import the JSON export again?
Not yet. The export is meant for backups and for looking at your data outside the game.
I found a bug.
Thank you! Send me a message using the form, ideally with game flavour (Retail/Classic), add-on version and the error message (e.g. from BugSack).
